Πληροφορίες
This specialty Arabica coffee from the Lahamenugu region in Papua New Guinea’s Eastern Highlands is produced from Typica and Bourbon varietals grown at around 1550 MASL. Sourced through Volcafe, the cherries are purchased directly from farmers with whom long-standing relationships have been built, ensuring consistent quality and traceability. Only fruit picked at peak ripeness is selected before being delivered to the Volcafe Lahamenegu Mill, where it undergoes natural processing. There, cherries are carefully dried on raised beds for up to four weeks, turned frequently to promote even drying and covered at the first sign of moisture. Once fully dried, they are stored under controlled conditions and hulled just before shipment, packed in 60 kg GrainPro bags to preserve freshness and integrity. Scoring 85.25 and prepared to Screen 15+, this coffee offers a distinctive and expressive cup profile featuring notes of carrot, orange, papaya, plum, prune, and a wine-like character, reflecting both the region’s terroir and the mill’s careful craftsmanship.
